Nespresso Warms Up For Ryder Cup

Nespresso, the Official Coffee Supplier for The 2014 Ryder Cup, has revealed its activation plans for the tournament – taking place this weekend in Gleneagles, Scotland – with golf fans able to sample some of Nespresso’s finest coffee at their bespoke Coffee Bar boutique and various outlets throughout the course.

Throughout the tournament, Nespresso will serve an estimated 500,000 Grand Cru coffees, with visitors encouraged to engage with the social media conversation of the event through the Nespresso social wall.

A bespoke viewing screen, the wall has been designed to aggregate the social media conversation in one place.

As part of the Nespresso programme of activities to promote this partnership, earlier this year, Nespresso partnered with golf legend and 2012 Ryder Cup winning captain José María Olazábal and Ryder Cup Ambassadors Marvin Humes and Jodie Kidd to launch a global search for the “perfect shot”.

Through the campaign, Nespresso Club Members and golf enthusiasts attempted to win the accolade of producing the most innovative and creative ‘perfect shot’ in an attempt to outshine José María Olazábal’s efforts.

Furthermore, Nespresso also created a series of videos sharing exclusive interview content with José María Olazábal hosted on Nespresso’s YouTube channel, in which he shares his favourite Ryder Cup moments and memories of this iconic tournament.
