Wasserman’s women-focused impact and advisory subsidiary, The Collective, has agreed a new partnership with the Netball Super League (NSL) ahead of its 2025 relaunch.

Serving as the NSL’s brand impact partner, The Collective will support the league’s brand strategy, creative output and product development, in order to maximise engagement with new audiences.

The LA-headquartered agency giant’s women-focused arm will act as a key advisor for the league, ahead of its relaunch next year.

Recently, the NSL confirmed the eight teams that will take part in the revamped competition, with Nottingham Forest and the Birmingham Panthers set to join the league.

Wasserman’s expansive client roster includes some of the biggest names in women’s sport, including Arsenal and England star Alessia Russo and England cricketer Nat Sciver-Brunt.

The Collective meanwhile aims to provide insights, strategies and ideas that help drive the profile of women.

The elite English netball league is targeting full professionalisation by 2035. Next season, half of the fixtures will be staged at major arenas, while player salaries will increase by 60%, with the minimum salary payment set to more than double.

“Launching this partnership with the NSL provides us with the perfect playground to harness the power of women’s sport and tap into the country’s love for netball to engage a new and existing passionate fan base.”

Prior to the 2024 season, the NSL secured a two-year broadcast rights agreement with the BBC, which will help generate further exposure of the league, as it aims to reach new audiences.

“We are very excited to be entering this unique partnership with the NSL as the competition enters an exciting new chapter,” said Victoria Monk, European Lead at The Collective.

“Netball remains one of the most popular team sports for girls and women in the UK.

“Launching this partnership with the NSL provides us with the perfect playground to harness the power of women’s sport and tap into the country’s love for netball to engage a new and existing passionate fan base.”

NSL Managing Director, Claire Nelson, added, “Wasserman and The Collective felt like the perfect partner for us.

“Not only due to their commitment and investment in women’s sport, but also their breadth of experience in commercial and brand strategy across some of the biggest sports and entertainment artists and properties globally.

“Harnessing that expertise, we are confident that the newly relaunched Netball Super League can scale even greater heights.

“With the introduction of new teams to the league, our evolved offering and this joint venture with Wasserman and The Collective, we are truly excited about stepping into this new chapter.”
