England and Wasps fly-half Danny Cipriani is believed to have officially parted ways with his current representative agency The Stellar Group in favour of being jointly managed by PR chief Stuart Higgins and Harbottle and Lewis lawyer Gerrard Tyrrell.

Cipriani’s spectacular rise to prominence in the last 12 months is thought to have prompted him to take the unconventional management structure with former Sun editor Higgins, who recently sold his PR agency to sports marketing firm Fast Track, handling the rugby star’s media and PR and Tyrrell taking responsibility for securing commercial opportunities.

The combination of the 21-year old Cipriani’s promotion to the senior England side and his fledging relationship with actress and presenter Kelly Brook has ensured a significant rise in his media profile on both the front and back pages of the national press.

Cipriani’s new found fame has already led to him signing a lucrative sponsorship deal with adidas and also has commercial ties with Land Rover and Armani.

The Stellar Group, who have handled Cipriani’s commercial rights since he became a professional with Wasps, were unavailable for comment.
