Two new partnerships have been announced for the Rugby Football Union (RFU), with Future Memorabilia on board for a line of framed memorabilia with built-in LCD TV, while Sports Merchandise Global become the official licensee for England Rugby branded non-retail premiums, corporate merchandise and corporate gifts.

CPLG Sport – licensing agent for the RFU – has brokered two new deals for the England Rugby brand.

The England squad are currently competing in the RBS 6 Nations tournament, opening with wins in Scotland and Italy.

The 82,000 capacity Twickenham Stadium is set to be a sell-out for the visit of Wales on Saturday 25th February, with millions more watching on television.

Sophie Goldschmidt, RFU chief commercial officer, said: ‘We are excited to announce these new additions to the RFU’s licensing programme and these partnerships come at a time when the licensing community is becoming increasingly aware of the huge commercial possibilities that surround the England Rugby brand in the build up to the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which is being hosted by England.’

Nicola Thompson, CPLG sport senior commercial manager, added: ‘England Rugby is a huge brand and these new deals are adding to what is already an incredibly strong programme and one that is set to develop further as commercial foundations are laid for the next Rugby World Cup.’
