Following the recent transfer of South Korea international Heung-Min Son to Tottenham Hotspur, the Premier League club has stepped up its engagement with its growing fanbase in the Asian country.
Since the transfer, the club has increased its online output to provide content targeted directly to supporters from that region.
The striker followed up his brace in the Europa League last week with his first Premier League goal in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Dedicated Facebook posts written in Korean language will be regularly published, featuring exclusive images and video based content covering Son’s activities at the club on and off the pitch.
Website articles in Korean, including interviews and match reports will also be made available to supporters in the area.
According to the club, Tottenham Hotspur has an estimated 180 million fans in Asia, as well as a long term commercial partnership with Hong Kong-based insurance firm, AIA.
It also forms part of the club’s wider work to engage with its international fan base through its range of media channels, with dedicated social media outlets already available in five different languages – Indonesian, Thai, Malay, Hindi and Spanish.
