LOVE SPORT radio, London’s newest radio station, has officially launched bringing the capital city the latest sports news, news and current affairs.
The new station is backed by Kelvin Mackenzie, founder of talkSPORT; Nigel Wray, owner of Saracens RFC; Stephen Lansdown, owner of Bristol City FC and Richard Murray, director at Charlton FC.
LOVE SPORT radio will be broadcast across the London area and surrounding counties on Amazon’s Alexa smart speakers, 558 AM, DAB, mobile and online.
Ian Stone, current host of the London Comedy Store and a lifelong Arsenal fan, will be hosting the daily breakfast show with a variety of guests including former England Rugby international Andy Goode, former West Ham midfielder Martin Allen and Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson.
Kevin O’Sullivan, former Daily Mirror TV critic, will host a light-hearted current affairs show and his take on the biggest news stories of the day.
For drive time, The Brian Moore Show will take place every weekday from 4pm – 7pm. Joining the ex-England rugby international will be a variety of guests including the likes of former Crystal Palace winger John Salako, Welsh Olympic sprinter Iwan Thomas and ex-England striker Luther Blissett.
The Weekend Breakfast show is with Iwan Thomas and former Crystal Palace player Paul Mortimer.
In the evening they will be bringing London a dedicated fan show for all the top tier London football clubs, hosted by fan podcasters, with all the Championship and Premier League clubs and issues discussed.
“Never before has each London club had its own show on London radio, which will be a must-listen for hundreds of thousands of fans,” said LOVE SPORT commercial director Kurt Edwards.
