Newcastle United has signed a multi-year partnership with Austrian energy drinks brand Red Bull.
The drinks company has become the official energy drink partner of the Magpies across all the club’s men’s and women’s teams.
Red Bull replaces previous sponsor Monster Energy, who struck a deal with the Premier League club in 2022.
Within this deal, Red Bull benefit from exposure at all Newcastle matches. In addition to their branding being displayed at St James’ Park, Red Bull will also supply their products to players, staff and the club’s fan zone, St. James’ STACK.
Prior to the club’s official release, the energy drink’s branding was advertised on the pitch-side sponsorship boards, and a Red Bull vending truck was visible around the 52,000-seat stadium at Newcastle’s win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 1st September.
Newcastle United have followed in Leeds United’s footsteps with the Red Bull collaboration, after the drinks company became the Championship side’s main shirt sponsor earlier this year, in a deal that included a minority ownership stake in the club.
Peter Silverston, Newcastle United’s Chief Commercial Officer said, “Attracting leading brands to Newcastle United continues to be at the forefront of our exciting commercial growth and Red Bull is a fantastic addition to our partnership family.”
“This partnership with Red Bull recognises the exciting journey that Newcastle United is on, with our ever-growing digital presence and increased international television audience of 62% in the last 12 months.”
“Red Bull has an unrivalled passion for engaging with sports fans around the world, through culturally relevant partnerships and unique events.
“The club’s global appeal and strong supporter base will continue to establish Red Bull as a market leader in the UK, USA, Middle East and throughout Europe.” Red Bull joins the likes of Carling, JD, Sela, BetMGM and noon as the Magpies Official Partners for the 2024/25 season.
