Premier League Club Newcastle United has reached a $31m shirt sponsorship deal with a company from the Middle East, according to a report in The Times.

Newcastle was taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) for around $400m in 2021, however, according to the report, the unnamed company is not based in Saudi Arabia.

The new agreement will see an end to the team’s agreement with sports betting company Fun88.

That previous deal was reportedly less than $10m annually, meaning the club’s new agreement will roughly treble in value.

The termination of the contract between Fun88 and Premier League Club Newcastle is likely to be the first of many in the coming months and years. After the 2025/26 Premier League season, all gambling companies are banned from sponsoring the front of shirts of Premier League clubs as part of the league’s effort to limit gambling advertising in the UK.
