News UK Adds Champions League Clips Package

Readers of The Sun, Times and Sunday Times will be able to watch clips of highlights from all 146 UEFA Champions League and all 205 UEFA Europa League competition matches from the 2015/16 season, after News UK signed a new three-year deal with UEFA.

These rights include the cup finals and the UEFA Super Cup played between the respective winners of each competition and cover both the UK and Ireland.

The latest deal follows the news earlier this month that BT Sport had acquired the live rights to the UEFA Champions League and Europa League in a £897 million deal. 

Readers who subscribe to selected digital packages of News UK titles already have access to clips from this season’s Barclays Premier League matches on their smart phones, tablets and PCs. 

From Wednesday, the same readers will also be able to view goals and other key moments from the Scottish Premiership, as well as selected Glasgow Rangers matches, with a four-year deal with the Football Association set to cover the best action from FA Cup matches and England friendlies from 2014.
