Neymar Jr has become the latest signing for Doyen Group, which launched just a month ago, after the Brazilian superstar agreed a new image rights partnership with the company.

Doyen has signed an agreement with Neymar’s management company, NR Sports, until 2017 and comes in the wake of the forward’s announcement that he will move from Santos to Barcelona.

Recently named as the ‘Most Marketable Athlete in the World’ for the second successive year, Neymar Jr is one of the leading lights in Brazil as the country becomes the centre of sport globally for World Cup in 2014 and Olympics in 2016.

Neymar Jr said of the move: ‘I’m pleased to work with Doyen. They will add to my team and we look forward to working with them.’

Making his debut for Brazil in 2010 Neymar Jr has already gone on to make 39 appearances for Brazil, emerging as a key part of the national squad.

At the young age of 19, Neymar Jr won the 2011 South American Footballer of the Year and is considered one of the most prodigious prospects in world football.

‘We are excited to be working with Neymar Jr, his father and their team,’ said Simon Oliveira, managing director of Doyen Global. ‘Not only is he a special talent, he has incredible charisma and a desire to work hard to maximise his potential.’

The Group recently announced the launch of Doyen Global, formed by two former Executives at XIX Entertainment and Creative Artists Agency, Simon Oliveira and Matthew Kay, who have worked for global sports stars David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewis Hamilton and Jose Mourinho amongst others.

Doyen continues to consult to XIX Entertainment on Beckham and Hamilton.
