The National Football League (NFL) is planning to live-stream three games played in London next season.

Apple and Google are both in talks with the league to buy the rights, with the NFL keen to build on the success of last season’s successful live streaming trial with Yahoo.

The game between The Buffalo Bill and Jacksonville Jaguars International Series game at Wembley Stadium was streamed on Yahoo and overall, it was reported that 15.2m unique viewers watched the free to view stream on 25th October.

If Apple or Google win the rights, it would be a first for both companies who own Apple TV and Youtube respectively.

There are three games scheduled in London during 2016 with the Indianapolis Colts against Jacksonville Jaguars on 2nd October, New York Giants versus the St Louis Rams on 23th October and the Washington Redskins take on the Cincinnati Bengals on 20th October.

The match between the New York Giants and St Louis Rams will also mark the first NFL match to be played at Twickenham Stadium
