Genius Sports has partnered with Reddit to deliver a new live sports scores feature for NFL fans.

By integrating official NFL data, London-based sports data company Genius has collaborated with the Reddit to allow real-time scores and statistics to be displayed directly in team-specific Subreddits, enabling fans to stay informed and connected during games.

This feature, available on both the Reddit app and website, has brought accurate live game information to fans as they engage in discussions. Genius Sports, the official provider of NFL league data, has supplied fans the opportunity to follow the games closely while participating in active conversations about them.

The new feature has aimed to meet the growing demand for dynamic, in-the-moment updates, seamlessly integrating real-time NFL scores with Reddit’s fans.

Sarah Rosen, Senior Director, Business Development at Reddit said, “We know sports fans flock to Reddit for discussions with other passionate fans about their favourite teams and top games. By working with Genius Sports, we’re able to make these conversations even more immersive and engaging and bring NFL fans on Reddit closer to the play-by-play action.

Josh Linforth, CRO at Genius Sports added, “The NFL season marks the pinnacle of global sports, and our partnership with Reddit streamlines how users interact with teams, scores and stats. We’re thrilled to further extend the reach of our official NFL league data, helping fans interact with the action before, during and after every game.”

Wales are now among best-paid women’s rugby teams in the world after a number of new contracts were announced.

The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) has secured 37 new full-time contracts for Wales players, establishing the team as one of the best-paid international women’s teams globally.

Earlier this month, Wales captain Hannah Jones confirmed that an agreement had been reached following months of discussions between players and the WRU, with pay being the main point of focus. Initially, Wales had been awarded 12 professional contracts at the start of 2022, a number that has now steadily increased. The 37 new deals include several extended two-year agreements.

This development provides a significant boost for the squad as they prepare to face Australia in their WXV2 opener in South Africa on Saturday. The team enters the match buoyed by their first win over the Wallaroos in seven attempts during last week’s warm-up at Rodney Parade.

The WRU aims to share more about its comprehensive strategy in the coming autumn, marking a significant milestone for women’s rugby in Wales. The WRU has successfully secured the services of all 37 players, solidifying their status as one of the most well-supported women’s teams in the world.

Abi Tierney, WRU Chief Executive said, “We have a stated aim to continue to invest in women’s rugby and that means both at the professional level and in the structures and systems which underpin it. Professional international contracts are a vitally important part of the ecosystem we are creating to promote success.

We have not completed this and we will have plenty more to say on this subject when we announce our full strategy this autumn, but this is a hugely positive day for women’s rugby in Wales.”

Based in Leicester, Pay iO is a financial technology company that specialises in providing businesses with payment transfers.

Andrea Pinchen, Leicester Tigers Chief Executive Officer said, “Their sponsorship of our Academy, one of the game’s most respected pathway programmes, and Community rugby will only strengthen the work we do in these areas and are excited that Pay iO are aligned with us in the value we place on them.”
