Nike has launched Pro Genius, a series of interactive tools and techniques designed the help footballers develop the mental side of their game.
Pro Genius was developed by AKQA London and available on iOS and Android through the Nike Football app.
It gives users access to a range of tips and games in 20 languages and, at present, has five activities for brain training; counter attack, cross anticipation, priming, self-talk and visualisation – with only the counter attack and priming modes being actual training exercises requiring the app.
The launch coincides with both the Copa America and UEFA Euro competitions and as part of the unveiling the video starring footballers, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Joe Hart, was also released.
The pair are just three of 30 footballers who are promoting Pro Genius, with each player making an individual film of themselves using the app to go out on social media at relevant times throughout the two tournaments.
