Nike has launched its latest football TV ad campaign – the innovative ‘Take it To The Next Level’ commercial charting, through his own eyes, the progression of a young football player from non-league through to competing for his country.
Nike’s array of football ambassadors, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Cesc Fabregas, Ronaldinho, Wayne Rooney, Ruud Van Nistlerooy, Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Marco Materazzi and Rafael Marquez, feature in the two-minute commercial which launched on Tuesday 29th April minutes before the 2nd leg of the Manchester United v Barcelona UEFA Champions League semi-final.
Available to view on www.nikefootball.com, the ad is directed by famed film director Guy Ritchie with the action unfolding from the player’s first-hand perspective – the viewer seeing everything through the player’s eyes.
The ad espouses the attributes needed to succeed in football – a combination of skill, physical fitness, mental toughness, emotional control, the best products and a bit of luck.
In addition to this TV commercial, the www.nikefootball.com website will feature some of the players from the commercial join forces with other footballers to issue a rallying call to encourage football players to be better – to take their game to the next level.
