The North Face has appointed Speed Communications to manage its brand communications across UK.

The appointment comes after The North Face launched its flagship UK store on Regent Street, which took place last week, and its forthcoming premiere of Degrees North – a two year project by snowboarder Xavier de le Rue.

The Speed Communications team, led by associate director Amanda Ellison, have already begun working on the UK brief and pan-European planning for 2016.

The North Face head of communications, Anders Ollgaard said: “We are excited to work with Speed Communications. Their expertise and enthusiasm from the outset has been exactly what we have been looking for in our important UK market. The team brought a lot of energy to the pitch and their creativity and personalities are a great fit for the brand.”

Kate Bosomworth, managing director of Speed London added: “This is a hugely exciting brief for us; we have a wealth of experience in this category having worked with a host of adventure clients over the past decade. Combining this with our sport and fitness knowledge and the team’s passions, The North Face sits right in our sweet spot, a very inspiring brand indeed.”
