Utilities firm npower has confirmed a three-year extension to its title
sponsorship of domestic Test match cricket running until the end of 2009.

The new deal is reported to be worth up to £15m – a 35% annual increase on
npower’s current two-year deal which expired at the end of this summer.

Npower’s renewed contract incorporates a number of initiatives across the
ECB’s properties including continued sponsorship of the Twenty20 Cup, greater
involvement with Team England, headline sponsorship of the Cricket in the Park
events in 2009, increased stadium branding and sponsorship of the Test match
coverage shown on ECBtv.

Npower has also confirmed that it will continue its highly successful
grassroots initiative, Urban Cricket, which it runs in partnership with the ECB.
