The O2 in London has been confirmed as the venue for the newly named ATP World
Tour Final, the climax of the men’s tennis tour, for four years from 2009.

The O2 Arena will stage the event, currently branded as the Tennis Masters
Cup, which pits the top eight ranked players on the men’s tour against each
other at the end of the season.

The tournament, which currently takes place in Shanghai covering both the
singles and the doubles rankings, is seen as the finale of the ATP Tour season,
confirming the number one ranked player in the world.

The rebranded ATP World Tour Final will start in London, on hard courts laid
out in The O2, in November 2009 with afternoon and evening sessions expected.

The 20,000-arena will also house a children’s zone, hosted by the LTA.
Ticketing arrangements for the event have yet to be confirmed.
