O2 Releases New 4g Rugby App
O2, sponsor of the RFU and England Rugby, has announced a new version of its O2 Matchday app powered by 4G, prior to England’s QBE Autumn International against Argentina this weekend.
The Matchday app features exclusive new content, including behind the scenes video, match reports, live commentary and highlights of key in game replays.
Prior to each home game, fans can get a match preview to find out how the teams line up head to head, which players to watch out for, and get more information on the match referee. On match day morning fans can then watch an exclusive pre match interview with England team management, including Stuart Lancaster, to hear thoughts and comments on the upcoming game.
During the game fans can tune into a live feed direct from the referee’s microphone, enabling them hear all the action on the pitch through the O2 Matchday’s exclusive Ref!Link technology. After the final whistle, fans can then experience Stuart Lancaster’s official RFU post-match conference via a live stream.

We’ve listened to all the fan feedback and added even more content, offering a complete match day experience to further enhance our England Rugby partnership. The addition of video content means that those fans who can’t journey to Twickenham can still get all the action as it happens, available now in glorious 4G.’
