Communication consultancy, Hanover has announced the launch of a new practice dedicated to the business of sport.
Launching with a client list that includes the NFL, the England and Wales Cricket Board and British Cycling, Hanover Sport will work with brands, events and sporting organisations to create and activate brand sponsorships and deliver strategic communications.
The practice will be headed up by Claire Furlong, who has run her own consultancy since 2012 and worked with the likes of British Athletics and Commonwealth Games England. Furlong will be supported by head of brand activation Leigh Ireland, who joins from PrettyGreen.
Commenting on the launch, head of sport Claire Furlong said: “Hanover is uniquely positioned to challenge the status quo in the sports world. In the last year the team have worked with some of the biggest names in sport and delivered stellar results.
“I am very excited to have joined with an objective to substantially grow the practice and make it the go to team for brands, events and organisations seeking to up their game.”
