Omegawave has launched of a new mobile offering named, Adaptive Training Plans, for runners.
These training plans pair the knowledge that Omegwave has around a user’s biometric data with individualised voice and visual training guidance, built with Olympic level coaches to offer the most appropriate workout for the individual’s current state. Allowing users to train smarter and optimise training goals.

Prior training plans, whether downloaded or provided by a coach, are static and do not take into account the athlete’s functional readiness, but Omegawave’s Adaptive Training Plan measures cardiac and central nervous system in a measurement at rest. That information then determines the volume and intensity the individual is best prepared to handle for that day and a workout is recommended accordingly based on the user’s overall goal.
The Adaptive Training Plans are designed for beginner, intermediate or advanced runners, at 5k, 10k, half-marathon and marathon distances. Each plan begins with foundation building aerobic workouts, before integrating intervals and tempo work.
Additionally, the plan will modify the days’ programming to more suitable volumes and intensities, or even suggest recovery-based workouts based on the individual’s biological fluctuations.
“Omegawave has long been motivated to provide training solutions in lieu of isolated measurements, and the Adaptive Training Plans are a natural extension of this mission,” said Omegawave co-founder Val Nasedkin. “This new program allows runners to not only train smarter and minimize injury and overtraining, but also get maximum results with decreased biological impact on the body.”
