Sport Industry Spotlight – a new series of interactive, insight-driven, online panel sessions built for, and to aid those, wanting to upskill in sport business – has launched.
Driven by genuine insider knowledge, the sessions will make learning the industry’s best insight both easy and accessible, and all attendees will have the opportunity to interact, engage and network with some of the industry’s leading figures.
Each individual session will focus on a specific Sport Industry Awards category, and gives participants the opportunity to learn from and pose questions to a panel of shortlisted entrants, past winners, Judges and more – exploring best practice, innovation, and the freshest thinking in the industry.
Through a live interactive approach, attendees will guide the panel’s conversation topics themselves to ensure that all insight gained is relevant, topical and beneficial to those tuning in.
Importantly, all sessions are online-only and both attendees and panellists alike can join from remote locations – making the industry’s best insight more accessible than ever.
The newly-formed initiative sits under the Sport Industry Academy umbrella, Sport Industry Group’s growing professional development arm, which also features the renowned and well-respected Sport Industry NextGen programme. Set up in 2016, Sport Industry NextGen now boasts an alumni of industry leaders in excess of 140 and has recently kicked off with its 2020 cohort.
Sport Industry Spotlight will begin with Sport Industry Spotlight: Data and Business Impact on Wednesday 1st April, with Fan Engagement and Active planned to follow. Sessions will continue to run weekly and will be based on different Sport Industry Awards categories.
Alex Coulson, Managing Director of Sport Industry Group, said:
“At an uncertain time for the sport industry, it’s more important than ever to ensure we are learning, evolving and developing so that – when ready – we can kick on again and reach new heights. Sport Industry Spotlight provides a perfect platform to do this, and has been designed specifically for the industry as a whole to share knowledge and learn from itself, with interactivity at its core.
“Given the robustness of the Sport Industry Awards, they also provide the ideal framework for which to study the industry, and our panellists of Judges, shortlisted entrants and previous winners bring with them a host of in-depth insight and analysis.
“Similarly, by taking the sessions online, we’re making them as accessible as possible for the industry at large and ensuring that anyone – either in sport or out – can attend from wherever they are in the world. Through Sport Industry Spotlight – I’m confident we can provide a fantastic environment to learn, engage and interact. It’s an exciting project to launch.”
