England Rugby captain Owen Farrell has signed a new long-term partnership with sportswear brand Castore.
The move will see the brand – which was founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon in 2015 – make its first steps into the sport of rugby, after having recently launched partnerships with Scottish Premiership side Rangers, Formula 1 team McLaren Racing, and the West Indies Cricket team.
Farrell’s signing will also mark Castore’s first major partnership with an athlete since joining with tennis’s Andy Murray in 2019.
“We are hugely excited about welcoming Owen Farrell to the Castore family,” said Pascal Lafitte, Head of Team Partnerships, Castore.
“Owen transcends sporting emotions through his leadership and constant search for perfection, and this naturally aligns with our values as a brand. We look forward to building a strong relationship with Owen for many years to come, with unique and engaging campaigns at the heart of it.”
Farrell added: “I’m excited to be partnering with Castore. It’s a brand that I think shares my mindset and passion for sport. Having the opportunity to develop a signature boot and apparel range with the Castore team is something I am really looking forward to.”
Farrell will feature in Castore’s Better Never Stops campaign throughout 2021 alongside Murray. The campaign will run during the entire year, elevating the brand and its athletes during key sporting moments.
