The Professional Cricketers Association chief executive Sean Morris has announced that he is stepping down from his role at the end of October.
A statement issued by the PCA credited Morris with guiding the PCA through one of the most turbulent periods in the games history.
During his time as CEO, Morris built bridges with major stakeholders, including the ECB, the MCC, the Counties, the IPL, and the ICC.
Morris was also responsible for delivering a 35% increase in PCA commercial income despite the difficult financial climate.
Said Morris: I would like to place on record my thanks to all of the players for the support they have given me over the last 18 months I hope the PCA will continue to cement close relationships with them which will certainly benefit the game as a whole. I am now looking forward to pursuing a number of exciting opportunities and will be using my experience to make a meaningful contribution in other areas within sport.
Chairman of the PCA, Vikram Solanki, will now assume a more active role in the organisation until a new chief executive has been appointed to the post.
