Perform Nets Football Betting Data Rights
Perform has been appointed as the official supplier of live data for the Premier League, Football League and Scottish Professional Football League, tailored to the betting sector, for the next three years.
The new partnership with Football Data Co, the body responsible for commercialising the official match data for the leagues, will see the digital media group provide live data feeds to bookmakers from the start of the 2013/14 season.
Opta, which Perform acquired in a £40 million deal in July, is already Football Data Co’s official supplier of data for media use.
Simon Denyer, the joint chief executive of Perform, said: ‘We continue to invest in rights which further strengthen our position in the provision of live content to the betting market.’
‘The breadth, speed and accuracy of our data is already market leading and we are pleased to have been appointed as the official distributor of live data feeds for the Barclays Premier League, the Football League and Scottish Professional Football League.’
