Perform has announced the development of branded YouTube channels for its Livesport.tv and Goal.com brands – which should result in thousands of hours of live, highlights and sports news video content being made available to sports fans around the world.
Livesport.tv, a live streaming service, and Goal.com, a football news service, will now deliver video content from the company’s portfolio of global digital sports rights to fans.
The content will be ad-funded and some content events will be available in the US as a paid live stream.
To accompany the launch of the YouTube channels, Perform has also developed over 20 applications for the Google Chrome Web Store for clients including Barclays Premier League football clubs Chelsea and Newcastle United, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and consumer video subscription website TennisTV.
Simon Denyer, joint-CEO of Perform, said: ‘The Livesport.tv and Goal.com channels will allow fans of all sports to watch what they want, when they want it.’
‘We are delighted to work with such an influential partner and look forward to working even more closely with Google and YouTube in the future.’
