Phd Nutrition Expands Into Rugby League

PhD Nutrition has signed a new partnership with rugby league side Hull Kingston Rovers to become the club’s official sports nutrition supplier.

PhD, which was acquired by B&B Investment Partners in late 2014, will provide the Hull KR players with a range of nutrition and dietary supplements to aid fitness and conditioning for the 2015 Super League season.

The Hull-based company has worked with a selection of sports teams and ambassadors since the company was founded in 2006, including rugby union club Harlequins.

Paul Hatton, head of strength and conditioning at Hull KR, said: “PhD Nutrition is the perfect sports nutrition partner for the team.

“They are incredibly well respected in the industry and the calibre of athletes they work with, such as Greg Rutherford, are second to none.”

Brooke Smart, marketing manager at PhD Nutrition, added: “We are particularly excited about working with them (Hull KR) given our local connection.”

Hull KR kick-off the 2015 campaign against Leeds Rhinos on 8th February.
