Pitch PR has unveiled a new brand identity and is changing its name to Pitch Marketing Group; as well as launching a new division dedicated to branded content production.
The newly titled Pitch Marketing Group will operate as a creative agency with a broader offering and diversity of clients. The agency will have three specialist divisions: PR, partnerships and productions.
As part of the rebrand, the agency is extending its reach from sport and entertainment, into the creation and delivery of mainstream consumer campaigns. Pitch Marketing Group will be applying a set of principles to create campaigns that deliver measurable business impact.
In addition, the agency has also announced Pitch Productions, which will operate as an in-house creative studio, focusing on design, digital content & video production. The output of this division, which already services retained clients including Harlequins and Hays, is overseen by the agency’s creative director, Steve Munachen.
Henry Chappell, chief executive, Pitch Marketing Group said: “Pitch has gone from strength to strength in recent years and our repositioning will enable us to better communicate the award-winning work we’ve been doing for some time now.
“Brands today know that they need to be culturally relevant to reach consumers, and that goes beyond just sport and entertainment. A broader offering with defined specialisms reflects our clients’ wants and needs. Increasingly we are being briefed to work across digital, social, sponsorship, design and content production, as well as PR, and accordingly we are building expert teams in each of those areas.
“Our new brand identity and recruitment of an in-house content production team is representative of the distinctive, content-led campaigns that we are creating.”
A sponsorship strategy and activation team, Pitch Partnerships, was also launched earlier this year with the appointment of Gavin Peters as partnerships director, and the team were recently appointed by TAG Heuer to activate its sponsorships in football, including the Premier League.
Pitch Marketing Group, which was formed in 2002 by Henry Chappell, has clients including ASICS, Betfair, BT, Channel 4, Chelsea FC, NBA, Red Bull, TAG Heuer and Yahoo.
