UK grassroots sports network, Pitchero, has teamed up with online rugby education platform The Rugby Site to launch the ‘Rugby Coach Academy’.
The online rugby coaching hub, the platform features insights from rugby coaches Eddie Jones and Wayne Smith, alongside players such as Richie McCaw and Dan Carter.
The Rugby Coach Academy brings coaching tips and techniques to Pitchero’s network of global grassroots rugby players and clubs, allowing the global rugby community to tap into minds of players and coaches.
The launch signifies the beginning of Pitchero’s partnership with the The Rugby Site, a New Zealand-based rugby online coaching resource. The two have come together in time for the new season to offer community rugby the chance to learn from the best in the world.
Phil Connolly, The Rugby Site’s CEO said: “Working with Pitchero is an ideal platform to bring our elite coaching expertise to the community side of the sport.”
“Thousands of community players make rugby what it is every weekend, and we’re thrilled to be taking our insights, and techniques, from the game’s proven best to help grow the game worldwide from the grassroots.”
The Rugby Coach Academy is the latest addition to Pitchero’s Coach Academy. In recent months, Pitchero has launched a suite of video coaching hubs for football and cricket, and now rugby.
With the new rugby season all set to begin, thousands of players, parents and coaches can gain access to the Coach Academy and pick-up valuable tips and advice from those who have prospered at the top of the game.
