Pitchero has signed The Playbook to launch a new instant video product, that looks to change the way that amateur sports teams capture and distribute matchday content.
The club management platform is responsible for over one million registered users across 70,000 active teams. Its largest area is within football and rugby union, in which 80% of non-professional teams use the software, according to the organisation, whilst also gaining prominence in hockey and cricket leagues across the country.

The campaign to launch Pitchero Play will focus on media and influencer engagement, delivering education and experience of the platform by through product trials. It will also draw on the brand’s understanding of the grassroots sports audience to tell stories of emerging trends within the amateur game.
Mark Fletcher, founder, Pitchero said: “We know how good this new product is by the feedback we’re getting from the clubs out there using it each week. We loved The Playbook’s approach to telling this story and facilitating a positive experience of the product with key individuals.”
Eddie May, managing director, The Playbook said: “Pitchero do great work in facilitating people to get more involved in their sport and Pitchero Play is the perfect extension of that.
