Pl Completes Radio Rights Deal

The Premier League has completed its radio rights deal for the 2010-11 to 2012-13 seasons with the commission to be shared among BBC Radio Five Live, TalkSport and Absolute Radio.

The BBC has been awarded four of the Premier League’s seven national radio commentary broadcast rights’ packages which will include the Saturday lunchtime kick-offs, the pick of the 3pm fixtures, Sunday 4pm games and Monday and Tuesday evening matches.

Absolute Radio has won its first ever radio deal with the Premier League and has been given second pick of Saturday 3pm fixtures.

Talksport was given the remaining two packages – the Sunday fixtures before 3pm and Saturday evening matches.

Each package comprises 32 live Barclays Premier League matches for commentary.
