The Premier League and ESPN have inked a Caribbean broadcast rights agreement, following the termination of the English topflight’s previous agreement with VertiCast.
Under the new partnership, the league’s remaining 350 fixtures will air on ESPN,’s linear channels and will also be available to Flow TV subscribers.
The new deal will take effect from the next fixture round beginning on 14th September.
Each week, six live matches will broadcast on ESPN Extra, which is available in Anguilla, Antigua, the Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad, Turks & Caicos, and the British Virgin Islands.
Despite signing a three-year deal that was set to run until the end of the 2024/25 season, VertiCast ended its contract a year early, leaving the league without a broadcast partner in the region.
A statement from the pay-TV provider on 13th August said, ‘After delivering the Premier League to fans across the Caribbean, VertiCast Media’s term as the broadcast rights holder for the Premier League has concluded.’
