The Premier League could end its pay-per-view model which has seen fans charged £14.95 to access broadcasts of matches not scheduled for TV, according to multiple reports.
A number of news outlets, including the BBC and Sky News, have reported that the league could scrap the policy during the November international break, and look to have a new system in place for the busy Christmas period.
As the UK enters a second lockdown period, and with fans still unable to attend games, the league could revert to its previous policy of making additional games available on the platforms of its broadcast partners.
The £14.95 fee that fans were charged in order to access matches on the pay-per-view Box Office platforms of both BT Sport and Sky Sports saw protests from supporters across the country, with many fans choosing to donate the money to food banks instead of watching the games.
