The Premier League has confirmed that all of its matches played in September will be broadcast live in the UK.
At a meeting of the league’s shareholders, clubs agreed that all 28 matches scheduled to be played throughout the month will be broadcast live in the UK through its existing broadcasting partners Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and the BBC.
According to the league, Sky Sports and BT Sport have already picked 17 matches for the first three match rounds of the 2020/21 season. Of the remaining 11 matches, Sky Sports will broadcast an additional six and BT Sport another three. The BBC and Amazon Prime Video, meanwhile, will broadcast one each.
The Premier League says it is also in discussions with BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT to agree a similar solution for radio, and will make ‘appropriate arrangements’ for the matches taking place after 1st October.
