The Premier League has announced that it will establish a new in-house media operations business.
Revealed through a Premier League and IMG joint statement, the new venture will launch in time for the 2026/27 season, seeing English football’s men’s topflight bring all international media content production and distribution in-house for the first time in 20 years.
Over the past two decades this service has been provided in partnership with IMG, operating as Premier League Productions (PLP), that will continuing providing coverage for the next two seasons.
The move was agreed at the recent Premier League shareholders meeting, where the twenty unanimously voted in favour of the change.
Further details are set to be released in ‘due course’.
