Premiership Rugby has inked a new broadcast rights partnership with BeIN Sports, covering France and MENA for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

The deal sees coverage of English rugby union’s topflight league return to French television for the first time since the 2021/22 campaign.

Under the new agreement, at least on fixture per matchday will air on the pay-TV network.

BeIN Sports MENA meanwhile will also air one game per week throughout the season.

The deal was brokered by London-based sports marketing agency Pitch International.

“Premiership Rugby is delighted to link up with beIN Sports again to bring Gallagher Premiership Rugby back to the French and MENA markets,” said Ollie Lewis, Head of Broadcast at Premiership Rugby.

“After six rounds of the Gallagher Premiership, the cumulative paid audience in the UK is up by 700,000 and we are thrilled to expand our reach into these important territories and offer the unmissable entertainment of the Premiership to more passionate rugby fans overseas.”

In October, Premiership Rugby extended its free-to-air (FTA) domestic rights deal with ITV, which will run until the end of the 2025/26 season, after renewing its longstanding TNT Sports partnership earlier this year.
