As excitement builds ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2019, Premiership Rugby has launched a new, interactive app entitled Premiership Rugby Champions, aimed at encouraging rugby learning within the classroom.

The app, which will reach 10,000 school teachers by the end of the year, will feature interactive content personalised by the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs and their players, themed lesson plans, and free health, safety and safeguarding resources.

Developed with support from Premiership Rugby partners CVC and BT, the app forms part of the league’s ‘Plan To Improve A Million Lives’.

“Professional rugby has a huge opportunity to improve the lives and educational prospects of children and young people,” said Wayne Morris, Community and Corporate Social Responsibility Director at Premiership Rugby.

“With rugby firmly in the spotlight this autumn, we have the opportunity to influence perceptions, attitudes and behaviours for life. The launch of Premiership Rugby Champions is incredibly timely.”
