Squash will be shown on BT Sport from next week after the Professional Squash Association (PSA) signed a major broadcast and marketing partnership with the British broadcaster.
As part of the new deal – put together in conjunction with the Broadreach Media agency – BT Sport will televise coverage from all PSA World Series events, including the world championship.
Semi-finals and finals of each tournament will be broadcast live, plus other select matches.
The 2015 PSA World Series schedule kicks off with next week’s JP Morgan Tournament of Champions in New York.
BT Sport will also receive branding at all PSA events played in the UK, plus have marketing access to the UK squash community which the PSA estimate numbers over 250,000 people.
PSA chief executive Alex Gough, said: “We are delighted to have reached an agreement with BT Sport and look forward to working with them over the next few years in what we feel is a fantastic move for the sport.
“With the recent announcement regarding a merger between the WSA [Women’s Squash Association] and PSA, aligned with our new three-year World Series tournament structure, the next few years promise to be an exciting time for squash and we feel that BT are a perfect partner for us in that journey.”
