The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has announced raft of new broadcast agreements ahead of the PTO Canadian Open, which begins 23rd July.

ESPN has signed a three-year deal to broadcast the PTO Tour Live in Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

BeIN Sports has been brought on board to broadcast the PTO’s live events and highlights across MENA, APAC, USA and Canada.

Additionally, the organisation has announced a two-year agreement with DAZN. The deal with the sports streaming platform is non-exclusive and includes rights in Canada, Japan, South Africa, APAC, Australia, New Zealand & MENA.

According to a statement, ‘other core partners include: CBC Sports in Canada, Fox Sports in the USA and Australia and Outside TV in the USA, Fuji TV in Japan and Tencent, MIGU and iQiyi in China, Sky Sport in New Zealand, SPOTV across Asia.’

Tim Godfrey, PTO Chief Marketing Officer, said, “The first-ever PTO Tour race is a big moment for the PTO and its athletes, as we look to take the sport to the next level. So, it’s brilliant that we have been able to partner with some of the biggest broadcasters around the world to share all the action.  Appetite has grown quickly since the Collins Cup last year, which is a validation of our strategy to give these amazing athletes a global platform to showcase their stories and superhuman exploits.”

Earlier in the week, the PTO announced a new multi-year partnership with Endeavor Streaming that will see the two organisations collaborate on a brand new OTT offering, PTO+.
