PTO Launches New Streaming Service

The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has announced a new multi-year partnership with Endeavor Streaming that will see the two organisations collaborate on a brand new OTT offering, PTO+.

According to a statement, PTO+ will serve as ‘the cornerstone of an ambitious strategic digital venture between the companies.’

Initially the streaming platform will launch as free service providing coverage of the organisation’s flagship events to fans residing outside of Europe and the Indian Subcontinent, where Warner Bros. Discovery have the exclusive live rights.

The first PTO event on the 2022 calendar to be broadcast on PTO+ will be the PTO Canadian Open, which takes place from 23rd to 24th July with a $1m prize pool.

The preview show for the PTO Canadian Open, entitled ‘Countdown To Canada’, will be available globally.

Tim Godfrey, PTO Chief Marketing Officer, said, “This is another important milestone for the PTO as we promote our PTO Tour events and athlete storytelling to sports fans around the world.

“The PTO will leverage Endeavor Streaming’s end-to-end D2C capabilities with branded front-end device applications, video streaming capabilities and subscriber management tooling to deliver a dedicated triathlon content destination, so the fans can follow all the action.”

New York-headquartered Endeavor Streaming, is the digital video technology subsidiary of Endeavour Group and recently announced a new subscription service with Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur.
