Sportswear brand Puma has launched the ‘Puma’s European Song Contest’ on YouTube ahead of the World Cup this summer.

The contest pits songs from fans of England, France, Germany and Italy against each other, whereby viewers can vote for the winner.

Ex-radio host Terry Wogan is fronting the campaign and will host an introduction video.

The fans will be singing ‘That Sounds Good To M’e by Josh Dubovie (UK); Allez, Ola, Ole by Jessy Matador (France); and Ein Bisschen Frieden by Nicole (Germany).

Instead of singing, the Italians will stand in silent protest, maintaining the country’s refusal to participate in song contests that started after what they deemed an unfair song contest loss in 1997.
