PureGym has teamed up with the Great Run Series to become the official fitness and gym partner of the mass participation running series.
The three year agreement starts at The Great Winter Run on 9th January 2016, where PureGym will be the headline sponsor.
PureGym will also set up mini pop up gyms at a number of the events as well as group exercise classes for people to try, working with Great Run to develop a class for their members that has a focus on running and technique.
Director of strategic development at PureGym, Francine Davis, said; “The Great Run Series is a fantastic partner to have with over 200,000 people taking part in their events each year. Participants of their events are fitness and running enthusiasts of all abilities from those trying it for the first time to the more experience participant. This is obviously a great match for PureGym and reflects the profile of our members.
“PureGym is continuously looking at new ways to enhance our member offering, and we are looking forward to members taking advantage of the benefits that the Great Run Series partnership will provide”.
Commenting on the new partnership, commercial director of The Great Run Company, Nicky Homes said: “This new partnership will support the growth of our Great Run Series throughout the UK encouraging PureGym members to take part in Great Run Events from 5k to Half Marathons. Pure Gym will support our events by providing valuable additional benefits for all our participants.”
In November, The Great Run series announced it was seeking a new title sponsor following Morrisons concluding its partnership at the end of 2015.
