Qbe Sign England Rugby Insurance Deal
QBE, the specialist business insurer, has signed an agreement to become the Official Insurance Partner of England Rugby.
To launch the sponsorship, a 50m image was projected onto the Lloyd’s Building in the centre of London’s insurance district.
The projection, a first in the city of London, greeted thousands of commuters as they arrived for work. It will be projected once again this evening with its message of support for the team in the forthcoming centenary game against Wales this weekend.
The four-year deal with the RFU is aimed to bring advertising, hospitality and business development opportunities to QBE.
The agreement builds on QBE’s existing rugby sponsorship, following the launch of its
partnership with the Guinness Premiership in October 2009.
