Ibrox Stadium will undergo a digital transformation ahead of the 2017/18 season following a partnership between Rangers Football Club and Eleven Sports Media.
The new stadium-wide platform, which is the first of its kind in Scottish football, will bring Eleven’s technology to Ibrox, creating a new partnership programme that will enhance the matchday experience for fans and give businesses of all sizes the opportunity to reach supporters.
Fans will see a new network of large format displays installed in concourse and hospitality areas throughout the stadium. The screens will form a new StadiumTV network, creating a social platform for fans to interact and keep up to date with matchday news. Eleven will also install a network of StatZone displays, which convert raw Opta data into dynamic live stats graphics, helping to engage and inform fans and drive the matchday conversation.
In addition, a new five-tiered range of partnership packages are available, allowing businesses of different sizes to reach fans throughout every stage of the matchday. The new programme will allow businesses to become an official partner and create an impact by delivering their message across many different channels, both on matchday and beyond, including the new digital display network, match programme, website, stadium screen, and new live social content.
Eleven will also launch StatTracker with Rangers this coming season, making the Ibrox club the first outside of the Premier League to utilise the solution.
Based on the same intelligent platform as StatZone, StatTracker will deliver branded visual StatCards to a social media audience to create content for Rangers national and international fan base.StatTracker’s intelligent match analysis engine automatically creates Rangers graphics based on key match data such as passing stats, possession and goals, which are pushed out to Rangers social channels.
Rangers and Eleven will welcome partners of all sizes to a series of exclusive experiences and workshops designed to build links within the business community and allow organisations to interact and learn from each other as fellow club partners.
Scott Steedman, head of commercial at Rangers Football Club said: “Eleven’s digital stadium technology is incredibly exciting and we’re delighted to bring it to Ibrox. We’ll be introducing the very latest in StadiumTV and StatZone entertainment, which will give fans an unprecedented opportunity to interact on a matchday.
