Mary-Ann Sandercock, head of sponsorship at the Racecourse Association, is
leaving the horse racing governing body to set up her own sponsorship and
research consultancy.
Sandercock, who has been at the RCA for the past seven years, will leave her
role at the end of the month.
The former sponsorship chief’s involvement with the RCA however will not stop
as the governing body has signed up as the new consultancy’s first client.
In setting up her own agency, Sandercock has already formed strategic
partnerships with the Horseracing Sponsors’ Association where she will assist
them in developing members’ services, and Sportsguide – the Berkshire-based
specialist horseracing public relations consultancy which will enable her to
pursue other commercial activities.
