Reading Closes In On Ground Expansion

Premier League club Reading has taken a step closer to significantly
enlarging the capacity of its Madejski Stadium ground.

Nigel Howe, the club’s chief executive has confirmed that the planning
application for the expansion will be submitted to Reading Borough Council this
week.

If approval is given then preliminary work could start in the close season
with the capacity of the 24,000 seat stadium set to increase to between 37,000
and 38,000.
