This July commuters will be encouraged to avoid the tube, trains and busses in a bid to commute a collective one million miles in just one month, with the return of Red Bull’s Million Mile Commute campaign.
As part of the initiative, cyclists and runners are urged to collectively rack up a million miles this summer on digital platform Strava, shortlisted for Digital Community of the Year at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2018, with miles also entitling commuters to a variety of rewards.
Red Bull’s Million Mile Commute is also being backed through an on-can promotion of the energy drink, with a limited edition design also giving consumers a 30 days Strava premium access code.

Research published in HR Magazine recently stated that 89% of employees who cycle to work said they felt more energised throughout the day.
The initiative launched in 2017 with commuters surpassing the target in three months. Now, this year, Red Bull is hoping to achieve one million human-powered miles in a single month.
Million Mile Commuters will have four weeks throughout July to hit one million miles and in doing so are eligible to win a number of prizes.
Reaching each distance milestone enters a user into a prize draw. The first 2,500 people to log one mile will be sent a Red Bull sample pack, with additional prizes including Strava socks, Strava Premium memberships, a limited edition Red Bull fridge and a new bicycle.
