Formula One champions Red Bull Racing has announced an enhanced two-year extension to its partnership deal with Japanese watch manufacturer, Casio.
Casio will continue in Red Bull’s top partner portfolio, which also includes Pepe Jeans, Renault, Infiniti, Total, Rauch, Geox and Singha.
In the new deal, Casio will become the team’s official timing partner and its logo will appear on the nose of the 2012 Red Bull, on team kit and in all partner listing areas.
Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner said: ‘It’s encouraging that we’re able to keep building and extending our relationships with long-term partners, such as Casio.’
‘Formula One is focused on speed and accuracy, which is captured and reflected in the Casio EDIFICE watches worn by the drivers and the team. We very much look forward to working with them throughout the new season and beyond.’
Hiroshi Nakamura, senior managing director and senior general manager of Casio’s global marketing headquarters, added: ‘Over the last three years of our partnership with Red Bull Racing, our relationship has grown stronger and closer.’
‘The team is hugely popular around the world after winning the drivers’ and constructors’ championships for two consecutive years. As a result, our partnership with Red Bull Racing has been extremely effective in the global promotion of EDIFICE watches.’
Red Bull is currently preparing for the 2012 F1 season with Sebastian Vettel seeking to secure a hat-trick of drivers’ titles and the team itself aiming for a third successive constructors’ championship.
