Renault has announced a bumper double deal after agreeing engine supply contracts with F1 teams Red Bull and Lotus Racing.

Both contracts will cover next season through to 2012, and means Renault join Mercedes, Ferrari and Cosworth in supporting three teams on the F1 grid.

The extension of the arrangement with Red Bull will now run to six years as the team and manufacturer initially partnered in 2007.

Lotus cancelled its three-year tie-up with Cosworth earlier this season and will now look to benefit from the tie-up with Renault heading into its second comeback season.

In recognition of the new deal with Red Bull, Renault branding will feature more strongly on the cars and drivers’ helmets.
