The partnership includes a campaign titled Tackle Your Sleep, which has focused on sleep health education in the UK, Ireland, and Australia.
The initiative features current and former rugby players, with content aimed at highlighting the impact of poor sleep on physical performance, mental health, and injury risk.
The British & Irish Lions are scheduled to tour Australia in 2025 for the first time in 12 years.
The series will include fixtures against the Wallabies, Super Rugby Pacific clubs, and exhibition sides in six cities, with more than 40,000 fans expected to travel from the UK and Ireland.
ResMed, based in the US with operations in over 140 countries including the UK, has focused on sleep and respiratory health. Its 2025 Global Sleep Survey has found that one in four people globally reported living with poor sleep.
A previous study of 175 elite rugby and cricket players found over 50% to be poor sleepers, with reported daytime fatigue.
Sleep has increasingly become a focus in elite sport, with many UK performance programmes now integrating sleep analysis as part of athlete monitoring strategies.
Ben Calveley, CEO of The British & Irish Lions said, “The Lions are always seeking new ways to support our players and management team and sleep is a vital component of performance.
“Resmed adds another dimension to our acclimatisation and recovery strategies, ensuring the squad is primed to perform for the duration of the Tour. They will also be sharing insights to help travelling supporters stay well rested and in full voice for each fixture.”
