New revised criteria, reflecting the UK market’s global influence, will recognise work from multiple markets as the BT Sport Industry Awards 2017 opens for entries, which remain open for entries until 7th December 2016 and are welcome from any organisation or sector with a valid connection to the sport industry.

The new line-up of categories sees criteria expanded to become more inclusive of the world-leading work that the UK industry produces both at home and overseas.
Closer to home, a brand new category – Young Agency of the Year – has been launched to recognise the fantastic new agencies throughout the country that continue to innovate and develop new thinking for the sport industry.
Nick Keller, chairman of Sport Industry Group, said: “Having consulted with many key organisations and individuals in the industry we have made a number of changes to ensure the BT Sport Industry Awards are as inclusive as possible of the fantastic work this industry produces around the globe.
“Plus with the increasing number of new and exciting bespoke offerings blazing a trail in specialisms that didn’t even exist a few years ago shows we felt it essential to highlight, acknowledge and learn from some of the young agencies from all areas of the industry.
“From eSports to extreme sports and everything in between, there has been so much sport captivating us over the past few months, matched by breakthroughs in the industry as well, which will no doubt give our judging panel plenty to think about.”

The BT Sport Industry Awards Judging Process is one of the most transparent and stringent procedures of its kind with over 60 hours of intensive judging. Conducted in two stages and all overseen by EY, the process begins with the entries being reviewed and judged by the Official Steering Committee, featuring figureheads and industry heavyweights, to produce the Official Shortlist.
The BT Sport Industry Awards Judging Panel will then decide the final winner of each category announced at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2016 – the most prestigious commercial sports awards in Europe. To find out more about the extensive judging process, click here.
